I am very proud of how my project has gone, I think choosing
a project where I could experiment has really meant that I have worked hard as
I find almost playing with the materials around me makes me enjoy the work
immensely. If I was to change anything I
would have spent more time developing my artwork towards the final collages,
but I do believe that experimenting right up to the last minute of the project
has really pushed me to develop further and further.
Another thing I would change is that to the most part I
stuck to what I knew where my tissue paper backgrounds are concerned, partly
because I was safe there and knew I loved the outcome of this process, I did
experiment slightly with the tissue paper collages but nothing which stuck and
I actually thought, yeah I like that.
I feel I have achieved exactly what I set out to do which
was a project of experimentation with final outcomes being inspired by the
natural world. The artists which I have chosen to research really almost helped
me through the project and kept giving me that extra push for ideas and
inspiration.
I have learnt about colour through experimentation and what
goes well together which is another aim I set out to achieve.
My final outcomes, though as confusing and frustrating they
were to produce and decide which would actually be my finals, I am so proud of
them and I feel I have done myself justice in this project as this is what I
enjoy doing. Though the outcomes are not what I thought I may come up with, I
am pleased that they are not. They are a product of experimentation.
